Software Development Engineer

ICM UniComp is looking for an experienced software developer to join our team based in Portlaoise. Established in 1984 we are one Ireland’s premier companies supplying process control & automation systems to markets in Ireland & the UK.

Job:

• Developing and maintaining an existing suite of software products

• Developing new modules for new applications

• Supporting project engineering installing new or upgrading existing sites

• Interfacing with internal and external customers and end users

Requirement:

• Ideally post qualification work experience in software development

• Third level qualification in a software related discipline

• Proficient in C / C++ in a Windows OS environment

• It would be an advantage to have experience in or a good working knowledge of real time / Scada systems, UNIX, MS Visual FoxPro.

• Be able to work on their initiative. Be capable of working in a Team environment. Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Have a proactive and open approach to challenges.

Salary of €22,000 to €48,000 depending on experience

Job:

• Engineering of PLC, SCADA and HMI applications

• Commissioning of process control systems

• Supporting project engineering installing new or upgrading existing sites

• Interfacing with internal and external customers and end users

Requirement:

• Ideally post qualification work experience

• Third level qualification in an engineering related discipline

• Proficient in PLC Programming. Preferably Mitsubishi PLCs

• It would be an advantage to have experience in or a good working knowledge of real time / Scada systems, HMIs, UNIX, MS Visual FoxPro.
